"Fight The Dead. Fear The Living" - Season 3 Of 'The Walking Dead' Is Near

It seems like it was forever and a half ago that season 2 of The Walking Dead came to an end.  Because of this, AMC did everything they could to make sure that the series stayed fresh on the minds of fans.  From an obstacle course at Comic-Con (watch our footage here), and viral campaigns about AMC no longer available for DISH subscribers; to teaming up with Universal Studios for Halloween Horror Nights, The Walking Dead has been everywhere.

Well get your DVR's ready because we're just a few weeks away from the season premiere.

Season 3 of The Walking Dead premieres on AMC Sunday, October 14th.  This will coincide with AMC Fearfest, which has a total of 70 thriller and horror films being shown from October 13th through the 31st.

When the new season premieres, you'll be able to watch added content on  This includes production diaries, bonus scenes and behind the scenes videos.  Just make sure to take your time watching all the additional content on the website.  Why?  Because the 16 episode season is being broken in to two halves, with the second half beginning in February 2013.  So pace yourself, kiddies.

If you're not in the U.S. and want to know when The Walking Dead will premiere internationally, there's good news.  You won't have to wait long because the third season will air on FOX International Channels (FIC) beginning October 15th.

With The Walking Dead beginning again, that also means that The Talking Dead will be back, as well as host Chris Hardwick.  For those that may not be familiar, The Talking Dead is where Chris sits down with fans, and stars, of The Walking Dead to discuss the nights episode.  It's basically a show where fans geek out the same way that we do at home.  It's a great companion piece to The Walking Dead that you should be watching, if you're not already.

We can not wait for the new season to begin!  In the meantime, make sure to check out The Walking Dead mazes at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights.  Look for our coverage from opening night in Hollywood.

What say you?
