Two Trailers For Zack Snyder's 'Man Of Steel' Hit The Web

This past Friday, the teaser for Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel was attached in front of The Dark Knight Rises.  (Unless you saw TDKR in real IMAX, which means that you didn't see any trailers.)  What many didn't know was that there are two versions of the same teaser.  One features narration from Superman's Earth dad, Pa' Kent (Kevin Costner); and the other from Supe's biological dad, Jor-El (Russell Crowe).

Thanks to the power of the interwebs you can watch them both after the jump.

The first, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies, features a heartfelt speech from Pa' Kent.

The next is the same footage, but Jor-El gives a speech that will allow a baby Kryptonian to brave a trip to Earth.

Some fans are upset that this teaser doesn't feature more of the footage that was shown at Comic-Con.  If you're one of those that are complaining, you should know that this is what always happens.  There are a couple of reasons for this.  The first being that the footage is exclusive to Comic-Con.  If you're not there, too bad.  You're going to have to wait until the movie comes out.  The other reason is that, while the scenes looked pretty sweet, they are not a picture lock.  This means that there is something in it that is not ready for a theatrical release.  From visual and sound effects, to color correction and editing.  Once it hits the world wide web it will be dissected by everyone.  If something is out of step, or not just right, the nerd-o-sphere can be unforgiving.  (HULK anyone?)

For now we'll just have to wait a little while longer until a longer trailer is released, or just love the fact that you saw the footage and your buddy couldn't get a Comic-Con pass.

Man Of Steel opens next summer, and this teaser gets audience's primed to see Superman soaring high, and battling evil to defend the Earth.

What say you?
