'The Dark Knight Rises' MTV Awards Footage Hits The Web

Last night at the MTV Movie Awards, Warner Brothers premiered a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises.  The footage was introduced by Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christian Bale and director Christopher Nolan.  Just before the new trailer premiered, a montage telling the story of Batman from the first two movies was shown.  This included plenty of footage of Heath Ledger, which made Bale very emotional.  The montage also reminded us why Nolan's Batman films are so respected and loved.  It all comes down to character and story.

If you missed the clip last night, you don't have to suffer through the awfulness that was the MTV Movie Awards.  Take the jump to watch the lastest preview of The Dark Knight Rises.

Once again, this new footage has us foaming at the mouth wanting to see this movie now!

This preview shows off more of the power behind Bane, and the fear that he has caused.  We still get that ominous view of Bane dropping Batman's broken cowl as he walks away seeming victorious.  Urgh...I can't wait!

The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th.  Make sure to click on the Fandango link at the top of the page to get your tickets now.

What say you?
