Restricted Trailer For Seth MacFarlane's Live Action Comedy 'Ted'

copyright: Universal Pictures
Seth MacFarlane is well known for his animated shows (Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show), but he is now taking on live action films.  Ted is about a man name John (Mark Wahlberg), who as child, made a wish that his teddy bear would come to life.  Now that he's an adult, Ted is still around.

Take the jump to watch the restricted trailer.  (By restricted, we mean lots of potty language.)

Before we get to the Family Guy comparisons, let me just say...I could not stop laughing when Ted jumped in bed with them and they sang the lightening song.  Have I lost your respect?  You didn't have any for me??  Why you son-of-a.....

Okay, let's get to the comparisons that everyone is probably making.  Ted is just a CGI, stuffed bear version of Family Guy's Peter Griffin.  With the characters being from the same area, you could hear hints of Peter creeping out.  From what we see in the trailer, the dynamic between John and Ted is veeeery similar to Peter and Brian.  This movie will probably be as close to a live-action version of Family Guy that will ever see the light of day.

With that said, I think I'm on board for this movie.  It's good to see that Seth isn't trying to stray from the sense of humor his fans expect of him.  From what we see in the teaser, his fans won't be disappointed.

Ted hits theatres July 13th.
