Lucasfilm has been promoting Darth Maul, the now two-pieced Sith Lord, from SW:Ep. I - The Phantom Menace would be appearing on The Clone Wars animated series.  This will take place in the two-part (no pun intended) season finale beginning tonight with the episode titled 'Brothers'.

I'm already a fan of the TV series, but I was wondering what everyone else was.  How on earth would they be able to bring back someone we saw chopped in half?  We've seen the Emperor save Anakin and create Vader, but he was just mostly dead.  Darth Maul was in more than one piece, that's a whole other problem.

Last week I had the opportunity to visit Lucasfilm to watch the entire season finale, and I have to say....they pulled it off brilliantly.

The series has already set up the knowledge that Savage Opress has a brother, that being Darth Maul, and he is on a quest to find out what happened to him after being diced by Obi-Wan. Tonight's episode follows Savage on this journey and pays off the question, "How on earth are they going to do this?"  I won't tell you how, but it is believable in the realms of The Clone Wars series, and the Star Wars universe.

'Brothers' sets up next weeks finale episode - titled 'Revenge' - which will make you wish that there wasn't a hiatus.  If that episode is any indication, season five is going to be intense.

Watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 'Brothers' tonight on Cartoon Network.

What say you?
