Happy 80th Birthday, John Williams!

Since the 70's, one man has been responsible for many of the most popular movie themes of all time.  Since he teamed up with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, his music instantly transports us to a different place.  They are memories of when we first saw the words, "Along time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...," or when we first believed a man could fly.  His music is reckognized around the world, and will continue to be as long people can hear.

To celebrate his 80th birthday, we have compiled some of our favorite themes of his.  Crank up your speakers and take the jump to relive some of your memories.

Once again this summer, you can experience John Williams' music live at the Hollywood Bowl.  If you have never been to one of these performances, do yourself and get a ticket.  Visit HollywoodBowl.com for more information.

Now's your turn.  What are some of your favorite John Williams scores?

  1. A DVD boxset from John William's work sounds good as a gift ideas for mum. Classic films that are good for the family to watch.

  2. I really enjoyed watching all the movies listed above on our home theatre perth. Most especially the Star Wars saga.
