'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Cast Visits Lincoln Museum And Archives

This week we all got to freak out (in a good way) when we saw the teaser for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  To keep that momentum going, 20th Century Fox took star Benjamin Walker, director Timur Bekmambetov, producer Jim Lemley, writer Seth Grahame-Smith and selected press to visit the Lincoln Presidential Museum in Illinois.  While there, a Q&A session was given along with a tour of the museum.

During the tour, a visit to the Lincoln archive room was included.  This allowed everyone to see some of the most important artifacts in U.S. history, and some curious ones as well.

Take the jump to watch video and see photos from the visit.

What do you think?  Were a couple of the items in there planted by the studio for the fun of it?

Specifically I'm talking about the stake and the axe.  I couldn't see those items just being left out like that.  If they are real, that's awesome.  If they were planted, those were great ideas..and I would like them on my shelf.

I thought it was great that they said that the joke for the movie is in the title, but that's it.  Knowing that the movie, and person of Lincoln, was approached with a serious tone could make this movie more than just a fun ride.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens June 22nd.
