Comic-Con Begins Setting Up Member ID's To Help With Ticket Registration
Comic-Con is once again one of the most sought after tickets of the year, and will still be the most difficult to get. After last years epic fail with ticket sales, they are trying something new this year. Anyone who is planning on buying a ticket MUST sign up for a Member ID on the Comic-Con site. You have until late February to sign up for one.
Perhaps you figure that since you've attended in the past as a professional, or press, that you don't need to sign up. You would be wrong. Comic-Con started sending out emails yesterday to those that have had professional passes in the past with instructions on how to sign up.
Signing up for the ID is free, and does not guarantee you'll get tickets. It merely means that you'll be eligible to try and get some. Chances are that you'll still be seeing a quick sell out like last year. Hopefully the Membership ID system won't add even more of a headache to an already tense situation for fanboys/fangirls everywhere.
There is still no date set for when tickets to Comic-Con will go on sale. We'll let you know as soon as that is announced.
For more details, and to sign up, take the jump to the official site.
What say you?
