J.J. Abrams Commits To 'Star Trek' Sequel...Finally
Today is a good day for movie fans. First we find out that Ghostbusters will be back on the big screen, and now we find out that the Star Trek sequel will begin filming this winter. According to Vulture, director J.J. Abrams has committed to the movie, pre-production has already begun and a script will be ready by the end of the month.
This is great news after a several months of no confirmation from J.J. or Paramount.
As of right now there is no release date locked. I would expect winter of 2012, or summer 2013.
