Here at POParitaville we like to bring as many cool things to your attention as possible.  Especially unique events that you may otherwise not know about.  This is one that is right up our alley. Beginning this Saturday you can experience Art From a Galaxy Far, Far Away.  Artists Randy Martinez and Denise Vasquez will be displaying their Star Wars-inspired art creations at Hold Up Art in Los Angeles.

According to the press release: Art From a Galaxy Far, Far Away is a celebration of the culture phenomenon that is Star Wars through the showcasing of artwork inspired by the 1977 film, it's sequels, prequels and the litany of auxiliary characters created by George Lucas.

Art From a Galaxy Far, Far Away will be at Hold Up Art for a limited time.  The presentation runs from August 20 - September 5.  'Hold Up Art' is located at 358 E. 2nd St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.

The POP Patrol will be at the opening night reception, so expect to see photos of our experience and the exhibit.

Art From a Galaxy Far, Far Away is a great exhibit.  It's a must for any Star Wars fan to try and get to.  The opening night reception was a great way to spend Saturday evening.  From meeting some great people, catching up with old friends, looking at some fun pieces of art and a visit from the 501st, it was a great night.  Take a look at some of the artwork and a touch of what went on that night.  Visit us on Facebook for more pictures.
