UPDATED: Want to See the New Star Wars Blu-Ray Footage?

There's an app for that! The Star Wars Blu-ray: Early Access App is a free download for iPad starting today, and will be available for all iDevices starting in August, just prior to the Blu-ray release on September 16.

The app will highlight a sampling of bonus materials featured in the Blu-Ray collection, including never-before-seen content sourced from the Lucasfilm Archives such as matte paintings and concept art; prop, maquette and costume turnarounds; supplementary interviews with cast and crew; and more.

Any of you coming down to Comic-Con, stop by the Fox/MGM Home Entertainment Booth (#3528) to check out the app and get an even bigger sneak peek at the Blu-Ray disc and "experience one of the Saga's most iconic moments from a unique, in-universe vantage point!"

I just took a quick peek at the app (thank you, free wi-fi!), and it is pretty spectacular. Amazing close detail on models in the Lucas archives, matte paintings, and a bunch of interviews and commentary. Definitely worth checking out for die-hard fans who can't wait for the Blu-Ray release. The image is a quick screengrab of the main page of the app taken from my iPad.

UPDATE:
In all the craziness that was Comic-Con, we forgot to post this deleted scenes trailer from the Blu-Ray set.

Most hardcore fans probably recognize very quickly those deleted scenes.  Luke making his lightsaber, the infamous dust storm scene, the Wampa breaking in to the Hoth Rebel Base, Luke witnessing the Star Destroyer battling with Leia's ship.  It's all there!  I can't wait for these to come out in September
