UPDATED: Cirque du Soleil Reveals Comic-Con Performance

UPDATE
We have added a new video about Kà at Comic-Con.  This gives a little more behind the scenes discussion about what they will be doing.  See it after the jump below.

ORIGINAL POST
Raise your hand if you knew that we're fans of Cirque du Soleil.  Now raise your hand if you think that we're incredibly excited about a Cirque performance during Comic-Con.  We've known for a little while that Cirque du Soleil was going to do something in San Diego during Comic-Con, but there was no clear idea as to what it was.

Today word has finally come out exactly what it is.  Cirque du Soleil is taking the final battle from to San Diego and will perform it on the wall outside of Petco Park.  They will use animation to create a forced perspective projected on the wall.  This will give the impression of 3D without the need for it.

Take the jump to watch a behind the scenes video.

ORIGINAL POST

First off, Kà is my favorite Cirque du Soleil show.  This sequence from the show is the perfect match to play at Comic-Con.  I am incredibly excited about this and we'll be right smack in the middle of it to cover the performance for you.

Kà is performed exclusively at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.  Head over to www.cirquedusoleil.com to buy tickets.

What say you?
