Open Casting Call For Broadway Revival Of 'Annie'

Calling all stage parents, tomorrow has finally come.  This Sunday, June 12th, there will be an open casting call for the Broadway revival of Annie.  They are looking for girls ages 6-12, of all types, who can sing and dance.  They are not only looking to find someone for the lead of Annie, there are a lot of orphan girl roles they are looking to cast as well.

If you are in New York City this Sunday and are looking to live your dreams through your child, you'll want to go to 200 East 87th Street (off 3rd Avenue).  The auditions will take place from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM; and your child will be asked to sing a popular song, but they do not want them to sing songs from Annie.  Read more details and read their audition checklist on the shows official website.

Some of you are upset because your child won the Little Miss South County Beauty Pageant singing 'Tomorrow' and you can't get to New York on Sunday.  Don't worry because there is another way for your child to audition.  They will be holding more open casting calls and they are accepting online submissions.  Take the jump here to audition online and to sign up for email alerts.

Annie will open in the fall of 2012 in New York.  There is no word as to which theater it will take place at, nor who will fill the role Daddy Warbucks.  The original production of Annie opened in 1977 and not only gave us the popular song 'Tomorrow', but also 'You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile' and Jay-Z's favorite, 'It's A Hard Knock Life'.  Annie also went on to win several awards, including the Tony Award for Best Musical.

So get out your kids tap shoes, pick that song you tell them they sing better than Judy Garland and remember...SING OUT, LOUISE!
