UPDATED: Red Band Trailer For 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'

After a few days on the interwebs, the "Leaked" red band trailer was pulled off the internet.  The studio claimed copyright infringement, while we believe it's because everyone with a pair of eyes spotted it as a studio leak a mile away.  They've now given us a regular old green band trailer that's not as exciting as the previous one.

Here is the red band trailer for the anticipated movie adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.  This probably won't stay up for long, so watch it while you can.

Is it just me, or is that pretty good sound quality for a bootleg?  Could this be a "leak" by the marketing department?

TGWTDT stars Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara (The Social Network) and is directed by David Fincher.  It opens Christmas week, because nothing says the holidays....

What say you?

  1. Looks freakin sweet! And yes I think it the studio did this. It's just shaky enough to make me believe it was on purpose

  2. You know, the sound is really good for a bootleg. It's not impossible for it to happen that way - but that'd require someone who's not only good at bootlegging, but the full cooperation of someone at the movie theater (since there's absolutely no sound of audience reaction whatsoever). Possible, but risky for anyone who works at the theater.

Usually, I'm not fond of studio trickery... but it suits the movie. So go marketing team, if that's the case.
