Looking for a place to talk 'Game of Thrones' without spoiling it for others this Sunday?

Note - This is not a review of the show.  Which pretty much qualifies me to write reviews for the New York Times.

This past Sunday night geeks of all genders gathered around flat screens everywhere to watch the new HBO series Game of Thrones.  This is based on the series of popular A Song of Fire and Ice fantasy books by George R.R. Martin.  Leading up to premiere night, the interwebs were full of fans of the books talking about the series and what they were most excited about.

Once the show aired, many took to Twitter and Facebook to talk about their love of the show, and discuss what happened.  They were also doing their best not to spoil anything for those who had not seen it yet.  Then one of our tweeps posted a tweet saying that she wished there was a place for her to talk about the show with people without spoiling it.

At POParitaville we have been looking for a new show to live blog and have people participate in the discussion with us.  We've done polls and just talked amongst ourselves about it, but we couldn't agree on a show.  After watching Game of Thrones, and seeing the response to the show, it looks like we finally found a series we agreed with.

Beginning this Sunday night at 9:00PM PST, we will have a live window set up at POParitaville we will give  live commentary during the West Coast airing of the show.  This live window will not require you to refresh the page every few minutes.  Nope.  Just keep the page open while you're watching and join in when something hits you.  We will then continue chatting with people after the show to discuss what happened.  Should this prove to be popular, we will continue to do it every Sunday during the show.  We will also begin using this format for other broadcasts.  This prevents not only spoilers, but flooding people's tweet streams.

There may even be some weeks that we will have guests run the chat if for any reason The POP Patrol is not available.

So spread the word to all of your Game of Thrones friends and let them know that there is a safe place at POParitaville to talk about the show.  Just be aware that our commentary can sometimes be a bit snarky.  Although, after reading some of your tweets, I'm sure you'll fit right in.

If you come to the chat and get upset at spoilers,'re not so bright.

We'll see you Sunday!

Game of Thrones airs Sunday nights on HBO at 9 PM.
