'Grauman's Chinese Theatre' to be sold

The historic Grauman's Chinese Theatre is going to be sold...again.  According to the Los Angeles Times, Viacom Inc. will be selling it producers Don Kushner (TRON: Legacy) and Elie Samaha (Battlefield Earth).  Sounds like a winning team?  

This deal will also include the Mann's 6 which sits in the Hollywood and Highland complex/mall/shopping/eating place.  There are no plans to do any major work on the buildings, except to update the concession area.  And for those that have ever seen a movie at the Chinese Theatre, you know it's needed that for a long time.    

To millions the Chinese Theatre is just a place to see foot and hand prints while wondering what else is up the street.  To many others, the Chinese Theatre is still a great place to see a movie.  It's one of the last movie palaces left.  If you haven't seen a movie there, do it.  Then walk down Hollywood Blvd. and catch another flick at the Egyptian.
