|MacBook Air Surf Convertible Case from Gumdrop Cases|
The team at Gumdrop Cases are constantly creating new items for your tech and mobile needs. From iPhone cases to iPad cases, they are constantly coming up with new items to keep their customers coming back. This week we received one of their new items to review and I have to say, I'm a fan.
The MacBook Air Surf Convertible Case is one that's simple, and effective. It's designed so that it slips very easily over your MacBook Air. The fit doesn't make your MacBook Air bulky or hard to use. Feeling more like a second skin, you won't really notice it's there while carrying your MacBook Air around.
With this design, it does protect your MacBook Air from every day scrapes and scratches on the exterior. However it won't really protect it if you're clumsy like me and drop it. You might wonder why they wouldn't make a thicker case that would protect it from that. Remember, one of the ideas of the MacBook Air is the light weight portability of it. The Surf Convertible Case keeps that in mind with its design.
You'll also find that the design does not block any of your ports. Everything is readily accessible for you without worry.
The faux-suede material works in keeping your MacBook Air from sliding around surfaces. You might be thinking that this really isn't an issue, but it does happen on occasion. Not to mention, it does look nice. The only criticism of the case is that it does cover up the Apple logo. And really, most people love showing off that they're using a Mac more than protecting it.
All in all, we feel that the MacBook Air Surf Convertible Case from Gumdrop Cases is worth the investment. At $49.95, it is a good chunk of change. But when it comes down to something protecting your MacBook Air from anything scuffing it up and causing some damage, you'll be happy you bought it.
The Surf Convertible Case is available for the 11 and 13-inch MacBook Air, in blue and black.
