How the Winklevoss Twins in 'The Social Network' were made

Armie Hammer plays the Winklevoss Twins in 'The Social Network'.
It is very possible that some of you did not know that one actor, Armie Hammer, portrayed the Winklevoss Twins in David Fincher's 'The Social Network'.  Or perhaps you did and you think that it was all done just using a split screen.  Maybe the way I should say it is that it's not just one actor playing them, it's one actor that was credited.  The other person that you probably don't know is Josh Pence.  He was brought in to help bring the twins to the screen, but you would never see his face.

NYMAG/Vulture got the exclusive in bringing the whole thing out for the world to see.

There was a much shorter version of the piece on the DVD release, but I'm really glad that this is now out for everyone to watch.  It shows that The Social Network wasn't just a great movie from a storytelling perspective.  It was also a technological jump for directors.  I was so impressed with how smooth it was on the characters.  Even some of the top CGI just can't hold it's own when it comes to human expression.  This creates a whole other dimension of possibilities.

Maybe CBS can start using this instead of shutting down production on 'Two and a Half Men'.

What say you?
