UPDATED: POPped Rumors: Heath Ledger Cameo in The Dark Knight Rises

UPDATE:
Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan's wife and producing partner, told The Hollywood Reporter last night that Heath would not be appearing in The Dark Knight Rises.  Soooo, we should take that as a, "maybe," then?

ORIGINAL POST:
In 2012, when The Dark Knight Rises hits the old cinema movie house where they show the moving pictures, there is a possibility that for a few seconds we may see Heath Ledger reprise his role of The Joker.  "How is that possible," you say?  Well my little nerdlings, there is cut footage that Christopher Nolan did not use in The Dark Knight.  Using that along with some CGI trickery, could make it possible.  So this qualifies as a rumor worth reporting.

According to ShowBizSpy:

“The idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time,” reveals a movie insider.
“Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker.
“It would only be a fleeting moment in the movie and would only be included with the full consent of Heath’s family.”

What say you?
