Did Saturday Night Live steal this sketch?

A few weeks ago a good friend of ours, comedian Adam Ray, sent us the link to a new video sketch he had done asking us to take a look.  Well, begging really, because he's very needy.  But he's a funny guy and a good pal, so I took a look.  And it was a pretty funny commercial spoof that poked fun at Brett Favre's recent scandal.

Then a few days back I finally watched an episode of Saturday Night Live I had on my DVR (because, really..who needs to watch it right away anymore).  As I was watching and fast forwarding and watching and fast forwarding I came across something that seemed familiar.  Very familiar..

What the what?!?!

I double checked the date on the SNL I was watching had aired on October 23 and Adam's sketch was up on quite a few days before this aired.  Coincidence?  It could be.  But I was incredibly curious to find out what Adam thought about this.  In between some stand up shows we arranged to finally spend some time on the phone talking about it.  The conversation did end up covering so much more than the SNL sketch.  If you ever wanted to know what it's like to be a theme park super hero, or how you're not supposed to react when you're hosting a show in a theme park and a contestant vomits on you...well then you want to take the jump over to our POPcast page.

What say you?  Do you think it was a coincidence or was someone "inspired" by Adam's video?  Leave a comment and let us know what you think.
