Voltron Movie art work leaked?

For quite a few years now a live-action version of the popular cartoon "Voltron - Defender of the Universe" has been rumored.  With the success of the Transformers movies there has been even greater interest with nothing being confirmed and nothing in production or even pre-production.  Well the nerdosphere exploded this morning as the good people at JoBlo.com posted some pics of what is apparently some concept artwork for the potential movie.  When I say concept, that is because this is used to pitch the movie to producers and studio.

I'm tempted to say how amazing this movie will be, but this is just concept art.  When the movie finally gets made I will definitely be there opening day and have hopes that we will have a fun movie to watch.  For those of you that are not familiar with Voltron, this pretty much explains it all.

Or we could have another Transmorphers on our hands.  No, I didn't misspell Transformers.  Don't know what I'm talking about?

What say you?  What do you think of the art?  Will you see a Voltron movie?  Leave a comment and let the interwebs know what you think.

  1. Transmorphers...never heard of it...and I think I can see why. Another B-rate movie overusing CGI and trying to ride on the coat-tails of popular and successful franchises (Robotech and Transformers).

Now a Robotech live action, there is a movie Sci-Fi geeks from everywhere would flock to see...
