RIP - Greg Giraldo

Today the stand-up comedy world lost a favorite comedian.  Greg Giraldo passed away at the age of 44 after recently having an accidental overdose of prescription meds.  But that is not what we are talking about here.  Nope.

Greg is probably best known to fans as a regular Roaster on the Comedy Central Roasts, but he has been a huge draw for years at comedy clubs across the country.  Just because he didn't have a hit sitcom or hit movie does not mean he wasn't popular.  He was one of the most popular comedians around today so his death has left a mark in the comedy world today.  But we want to remember all of the laughs he gave us over the years, so we are bringing you some of our favorite bits:

There are some that don't get what the Roasts are all about and are offended.  The idea of these is to rip the person apart that is the Roastee.  We only tease the ones we love, and it takes a good friend and a great personality to get it and have fun with it.  I have already told Rabbi Marauder that when I pass away I want my service to be a roast.  I want my friends to laugh and tease me, and each other, just like we always did.  And I hope that in the midst of sorrow Greg's friends and family can do the same.  So do yourself a favor, call up you best friend and call them an a**hole.  You'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the laughs Greg.
