Star Wars....the animated comedy

No, this is not another "wouldn't it be cool if.." story. Since it is not April 1st, this sounds on the up and up. Lucasfilm and the creators of Robot Chicken are brining an animated Star Wars comedy to television. According to Seth Green:

“The ‘Star Wars’ universe is so dense and rich; it’s crazy to think that there aren’t normal, mundane everyday problems in a world so well-defined. And it’s even crazier to think of what those problems might be, since it’s all set in a galaxy far, far away. What do these characters do when they’re not overthrowing Empires?”

Quite a few sites seem to be calling this a bad idea. And honestly, some of them really have no idea what they're talking about (cough..Perez..cough, cough..idiot) I don't agree. With some of the writers from The Daily Show and Seth's team behind this, it's very promising. (Take the jump over to for more details.) If the humor is any match to the Star Wars Robot Chicken episodes, it'll be a hit. While we wait for it to finally make it to air here is my favorite Robot Chicken sketch they've done:

What say you? Good idea, bad idea?
