The 322nd Golden Globe Awards

Tonight was the 4,237th annual Golden Globe awards. This year's ceremony was hosted by comedian Ricky Gervais. While Ricky held nothing back in his jokes about Hollywood, celebrities and celebrity scandals to their face (we're looking at you Mel Gibson and NBC) he really didn't have a lot of time to gain momentum during the broadcast. While some of the speeches went on and on, others were very quick. This lead to a weird pace throughout the broadcast. It was amusing, and sad, to see how it was very blatant that some were allowed to speak as along as they wanted (Meryl "T-Bone" Streep) and others were cut off right away (writers, foreign directors).

There were no stand-out speeches, no crazy moments and really not much else to write about. However, we did some live Tweeting during the broadcast. Take the jump over to Twitter to read some of the running commentary.
