Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute Sends Universal Studios Hollywood's(SM) All-New 'Halloween Horror Nights' Through 'The Time Warp, Again'

Universal Studios Hollywood just upped the ante for Halloween Horror Nights this year. It was announced today that they will feature a mini-musical tribute to the movie that created a midnight way of life. "The Rock Horror Picture Show" will have a mini-musical tribute at USH this year. Now, this is not a new thing. HHN at Universal Orlando has been doing it for a couple of years now, but that's Orlando. Granted their HHN is HUGE. It's a way of life for people out there. But there is something about HHN at Universal Studios Hollywood that stands out. Perhaps it's the knowledge that you are in Hollywood. That you are where many classic horror movies were shot. (And it's here that they allow you to walk through some of the actual sets redressed for Halloween) Or maybe it's the knowledge that USH's Creative Director John Murdy is the mastermind. His love of classic and new horror makes him the ideal person to create the organized chaos of Halloween Horror Nights. (Just ask him about his private collection and the Halloween mazes he created as a kid.)

Well that leads to the addition of The Rocky Horror tribute this year. It's fan-freakn-tastic that it is now going to be a part of it in Hollywood. Expect huge lines, expect people trying to get in dressed in costume (sorry kids, not allowed), and expect a lot of fun. Not only that, but expect to spend more than one night there to really experience all that Halloween Horror Nights has to offer. I can't wait to cover it this year. Is it October yet?
