Food with Flair in Anaheim’s GardenWalk

I frequently walk through Anaheim’s GardenWalk – added last year to the Anaheim Resort Area. It’s a strip full of shops and restaurants… more of a compliment to the near-by Downtown Disney than competition. Opened in the fall of 2008 with a handful of retail stores like Tommy Bahamas and Sketchers and a slew of restaurants along the front walk (Bubba Gump’s, Roy’s, McCormick and Schmidt’s, C.P.K., and P.F. Chang’s) it has continued to grow over the last year. The most recent addition Fire + Ice.

The Anaheim location is the second to open in California – most are situated on the East Coast. I first saw the restaurant as it was being built… lots of colored glass and cool contemporary fixtures. My co-workers and I decided we should check it out for brunch. Trade your boring old Margarita Mondays for Mojito Mondays!!! (You know I’m in!)

The actual menu only features beverages and appetizers…the entrees are up to you! Head into the Market Place to find a bevy of fresh meats, seafood, veggies, a dozen different sauces, and more… create to your heart’s content! Feel like a burger? They’ll make it! Want fajitas? The rice and tortillas will be waiting for you back at your table. Want some comfort food? Grab some pasta and some alfredo sauce… (and maybe some minced roasted garlic or bacon, if you like) and tell the man at the grill to throw in some cheddar cheese. Then say hello to your fresh, made just for you, mac ‘n’ cheese!

Prices run between $10 and $17 per person depending on what time you go… not bad considering you get unlimited trips to the grill! Sunday Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is served til 4 p.m. After that, it’s dinner time. The appetizer menu features spicy delights like Fire Fries and Buffalo wings. Dessert includes chocolate fondue for two! And then there is the cocktail menu… Martinis, specialty drinks, and beverages to share!

Perfect for parties, the spacious bar and dining room spills out onto a huge heated patio. Waiting for everyone to show up and order is a thing of the past… just grab a plate and start creating your feast!

Next time you’re in the Anaheim Area check out Fire + Ice. Take the jump and have a look at Fire+Ice.
