2009 Emmy Nominations

Today's Emmy Nominations were full of surprises. It looked like a possible turning point in shows that are normally recognized (high end network dramas and highly publicized HBO series). Even though it just had it's final season, 'ER' didn't see any love. Neither did ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Boston Legal' or 'Desperate Housewives'. Even CBS' go to sitcom "Two and a Half Men' was left out, but the animated hit 'Family Guy' was nominated in the Best Comedy category. The only other animated show to ever be nominated for Best Comedy was 'The Flintstones' back in the '60's. Even the powerhouse that is 'The Simpsons' hasn't made it. I'm sure that Matt Groaning and co. are already planning their revenge. Another milestone are the level of nominations for web content. Including a nomination for 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog'.
