Today a few promotional stills and artwork were published by USA Today of Time Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland'. We've been able to track down some more photo's and artwork to ad to it. (Thanks Russia!) I know that many people were disappointed by Tim's version of 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' a few years ago (as was I), but I am hoping that this will be better. Of course he stepped off on the right foot by casting his muse, Johnny Depp, to play The Mad Hatter. A few months back this photo was taken of Johnny in full get-up on the set and leaked online. At the time many, including Aintitcoolnews, wondered if it was shenanigans and just a fanboy having a good time with Photoshop. Today we see that it was indeed true.
Alice in Wonderland is scheduled to hit theaters March 5, 2010. Not only in regular theaters, but it will also be shown in IMAX 3D. Sweet! I suggest having a few cocktails first, then grab an IMAX 3D presentation. According to the USA Today article, the story has been updated a bit.
Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember.
