'Wolverine' Slices Up The Box Office

In what came as no surprise, 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' came in at #1 this weekend with an estimated total of $87 million.  The new romantic comedy (?) 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' came in at #2 waaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind the clawed one with $15.3 million.  This strong opening for 'Wolverine' came on the heels of a full copy of the movie being leaked online and studios wondering whether or not FOX would still draw an audience this big after what is estimated to be millions of people saw it online for free.  Well this showed that the fans still supported it and came out strong.  This also gives Hollywood a great kick off to the summer movie season.  The question now is if this is strong enough for Marvel to move into production on what is to be their next X-Men Origins story based on the character of Magneto.
