'Museum' Takes Down The Terminator

'Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian' took the #1 spot for the Memorial Day weekend with $70 million.  This was the first big weekend battle of the summer, with this sequel opening against the re-boot of the Terminator franchise; 'Terminator:Salvation'.  That's not to say that this is a dissapointment for the McG directed film which opened in 2nd place with $53 million.  On any other weekend that would have been enough to take the top spot, but alas the resistance fell.  (Ha, get it?)
