Original Back To The Future Ending! Great scott!

There are always rumors and myths that abound from the sets of movies that go on to become classics.  Did someone really committ suicide during a scene from The Wizard of Oz; Is that a ghost in Three Men and a Baby; Did a real poltergeist kill off the cast of Poltergeist?  And there is one for one of my favorite movies of all time: Was there an original ending to Back to the Future that Universal didn't like because there was no potential for a sequel?  You can only hear,"Well I heard it from a friend of a friend who knows a guy that went to the prom with this guy's sister who's brother played softball with the guys old buddy," before you just give up.

Thank goodness for the internet.  Someone found the original ending and posted it online!  Wow.  While I am one for keeping the writer and director's original vision intact, I think I can side with Universal on this one.  Check it out:

  1. Wow, they travelled all the way to "Star Trek III". Now that's a movie that had little potential for a sequel, it being so crappy.
